Isabel Ettenauer

A specialist in music from the 20th and 21st centuries, Isabel Ettenauer performs on both the piano and the toy piano. She is currently working on a big project for Linz09 - the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2009, where she will be a circus director.

Austrian pianist Isabel Ettenauer specialises in music from the 20th and 21st centuries, and is interested in the development of newer piano techniques such as playing inside the piano, on a prepared piano and performing with tape/electronics. Ettenauer also performs on the toy piano.

Richard Benjafield

Percussionist Richard Benjafield has performed and taught around the world for over 20 years. He made his name with Ensemble Bash, and now performs with Three Strange Angels, which combines percussion ensemble music with contemporary and experimental instrumental music.


Chris Brannick

A founder member of the percussion quartet Ensemble Bash, Grannick is currently principal percussionist for Glyndebourne Touring Opera and for the Premiere Ensemble. He also plays with the trio Classic Rhythm.


Rachel Leach

Rachel Leach studied composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Simon Bainbridge and Robert Saxton. She has written pieces, devised and led education projects for many of the UK's finest ensembles, orchestras and opera companies, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Opera House and the London Sinfonietta. Leach's music has been recorded by NMC, and published by Faber. She has won several awards and is the resident composer to the Three Strange Angels percussion ensemble.
Kuljit Bhamra

Composer, producer, tabla player and pioneer of the Bhangra phenomenon, Kuljit has worked both independently and collaboratively on film scores for over 15 years, producing soundtracks for award winning films including Bend it Like Beckham and Wings of a Dove for over fifteen years. He was artistic director of the Society for the Promotion of New Music from 2008-09.

Zoe Rahman

Jazz pianist Zoe Rahman studied music at Oxford University, and jazz performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she formed her own trio. Following the success of her 2006 album, Melting Pot, which was voted ‘Jazz Album of the Year' at the 2006 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Rahman will soon be releasing a new album, Where Rivers Meet.

Neon

Neon is a new collaboration led by saxophonist Stan Sulzmann and featuring pianist Gwilym Simcock and vibraphonist Jim Hart. Their first album Here to There was released on Bash Records in the spring of 2008.
