Folk & Americana at Kings Place explores the UK’s core traditions alongside international and modern styles. At the heart of the programme is a rich artistic tapestry spanning singer-songwriters, acoustic, indie, Americana, country, bluegrass, roots and other styles.

Guests have included established artists and emerging talent from the broadest range of musical backgrounds, including BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners. Highlights have included performances by Chris Wood, Peggy Seeger, Martin Carthy, Dave Swarbrick, Martin Simpson, The Poozies, Breabach, Adem, Lau, Roddy Woomble, King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, Emily Barker, Kan, Lisa Knapp, Kris Drever, Roy Bailey and Tony Benn, Bella Hardy, Orlando Seale and The Swell and Sam Lee & Friends.

Double Bill: Damien O’Kane Trio + Daoirí Farrell

Damien O’Kane is in the Kate Rusby Band and is in fact Kate’s husband. He was nominated for the coveted Album of the Year Award in this year’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
