Fallis is fundamentally interested in issues which directly affect the world around her, namely consumerism and the environment. She tackles such issues through humourous and witty means, creating powerful results. Fallis experiments widely with a broad range of materials, from papier-mache to shopping trolleys, via silver, steel and cloth. She prefers to use witty humour to communicate her message rather than shock tactics saying “I try not to criticise but indirectly comment on the effects that so much choice has given us in this B.O.G.O.F. world (buy one get one free)”.
