Britten/Runswick Three Blues
Tonight sees the London premiere of Actaeon, an exciting new piece commissioned by Counterpoise. The bluesy Turnage, influenced by Miles Davis, leads into the neo-Romantic Adonis. The jazzy, cabaret-style Britten Blues is interspersed with Auden poems, including Stop all the Clocks (made famous in Four Weddings and a Funeral). A varied and attractive programme.
