Part of Arctic Circle - The Resonance of Music with Water
Icelandic cellist Hildur Guðnadóttir has collaborated with the likes of Throbbing Gristle, Múm and Haushka. She released her debut solo album in 2007. An electronic-tinged follow-up, Without Sinking, appeared in 2009 on the Touch label.
Iarla O'Lionaird's solo albums, Seven Steps To Mercy and Invisible Fields (Realworld) showcased a truly extraordinary singing voice. The former Afro-Celt Soundsystem member's solo work draws on a rich Irish Sean-Nos (‘old-style') tradition and contemporary electronica, with rivers and nature prominent. Iarla will be joined by Graham Henderson founding member of Moving Hearts (Piano) and Keith Donald (Saxes).
