A cabaret club-style event celebrating tradition and spontaneity.
For Ugandans music and dance are integral, with the performers abandoning themselves to the flow of the music. Tonight the Lead Musicians of the Uganda Dance Academy, some of the country's finest musicians, will perform their own set as well as collaborating with Warp Records artist Mira Calix. The eclectic mix of music will also include the world premiere of Nigel Osborne's Lolui Island-inspired Gorofa Point for trombone and electronics and more.
