Andrew West

Andrew West first accompanied Robert Murray at the Aldeburgh Festival, where they performed Janáček Řikadla (Nursery Rhymes) with violist Paul Silverthorne. He is Artistic Director of the Nuremberg International Chamber Music Festival, now in its ninth year, at which the Dante Quartet have appeared as guest artists. His collaboration with Mark Padmore has led to recitals in London, Paris and New York, most recently a staged translation of Schubert's Winterreise, directed by Katie Mitchell, at Lincoln Center, and a BBC Radio 3 recital broadcast from Wigmore Hall. Andrew West is professor of accompaniment and chamber-music at the RAM.
