Andrzej Bauer

Andrzej Bauer is winner of the first prize at the ARD International Competition in Munich, prize-winner at the 'Prague Spring' Competition and holder of the award of the European Parliament and Council. Studying among others with André Navarra, Miloš Sadlo and Daniel Shafran, he also completed a two-year course under William Pleeth in London, thanks to a scholarship funded by Witold Lutosławski. In recent years Bauer has given recitals in Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Hamburg and Munich, and played with such orchestras as the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of RAI in Naples, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Radio Orchestra in Stuttgart and the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. His recording for Koch/Schwan, which includes works by Schubert, Brahms and Schumann, was awarded the quarterly German Critics Prize.
