Cara Berridge

Cellist Cara Berridge graduated from the Royal College of Music (RCM) in 2002 with First Class Honours and continued her studies as the Amaryllis Fleming Scholar, receiving her Postgraduate Diploma and Advanced Diploma with Distinction in 2003 and 2004. During 2003 she performed in the London Symphony Orchestra as part of its String Experience Scheme. Berridge is now continuing her studies with Melissa Phelps.
Since 2001 Berridge has been a member of the Sacconi Quartet, which performs throughout the year across the UK and abroad. This year the quartet makes its debut in Madrid and Vienna, and returns to the Wigmore Hall. As a soloist Berridge has performed throughout the UK and Europe, playing concertos by Dvořák, Elgar, Hadyn, Saint-Saëns and JC Bach. At the RCM, Berridge won both the Anna Shuttleworth and Helen Just prizes for solo cello, and was principal cello of the RCM Symphony Orchestra.
