Izabella Simon began her musical education at the age of 7. She was 16 years old when she became a student at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music where she obtained her diploma.She studied with such professors like Ferenc Rados and Gyorgy Kurtag.

She has performed at the most important music centres of Europe and is regularly guest at various International Music Festivals like András Schiff's and Heinz Holliger's Festival Ittingen in Switzerland, Prussia Cove Festival in England, the Hitzacker Festival and Heidelberger Frühling in Germany,the Maribor Festival in Slovenia,in Davos (Switzerland)Cheltenam Festival in England a.o.

Izabella Simon is often appears in chamber music concerts with artists like Miklós Perényi, Steven Isserlis, Christoph Richter, Radovan Vlatkovic, Andrea Rost, to name a few. And as soloist she has been playing with the principal Hungarian orchestras, and with such orchestras like the Kremerata Baltica(Gidon Kremer) and the Camerata Bern (Heinz Holliger)

She has recorded two CD-s for Cant Art with Sylvia Sass and a CD was released (Warner Classic) in 2008 with works of Bartok, Kodaly and Ligeti with Andrea Rost.

She also frequently broadcasts for the Hungarian Radio and Television and for the Swiss Radio.

After her debut in New York at the 92 Y, she has been offered a guest-professorship from the academic year 2010-11 at the Bard College Conservatory of Music in the U.S.A. She is also invited to the Marlboro Music Festival 2012.
