Trio Atem

Trio Atem are gaining a growing reputation as one of the most exciting & versatile new music ensembles recently to have appeared in the UK. Their repertoire spans work by master composers (Lachenmann, Saariaho, Carter, Takemitsu, Berio, Kurtag etc), as well as championing the younger generation of UK composers (over 10 new commissions in recent months).

The Trio's work also encompasses cross-genre work, most recently several collaborations with performance & visual artist Michael Mayhew, evolving the graphic-score genre into ‘hypergraphics' (The Alchemy Collection), as well as a multi-spatial, multi-aspect work with Mayhew interpreting the history, spaces & art of the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester.
