Hosted in an intimate venue with world-class acoustics, Folk at Kings Place is a weekly series featuring a diverse programme of folk music from its core traditions to the cutting edge and beyond.

With BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners through to emerging talent, the 40+ shows each year present artists from a huge range of musical backgrounds. Audiences can enjoy a rich artistic tapestry spanning the traditional UK & International scene, acoustic, singer-songwriters, Americana, country, bluegrass, roots and other related genres.

Folk highlights have included Chris Wood, Peggy Seeger, Martin Carthy, Dave Swarbrick, Martin Simpson, The Poozies, Breabach, Adem, Lau, Roddy Woomble, King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, Emily Barker, Kan, Lisa Knapp, Kris Drever, Roy Bailey & Tony Benn, Bella Hardy, Orlando Seale & The Swell, Sam Lee & Friends and many others, not to mention unannounced special guest appearances on the night.

Bird Radio: 'Oh, Happy England' Album Launch

'Oh, Happy England' is a song-cycle based on a selection of poems by British writer Walter de la Mare, composed and recorded on residency at Aldeburgh Music in 2014 with an ensemble of voice, piano, flute, reed organ (Bird Radio), Cello (Laura Moody), guitar and bass (Tobion Johns) and percussion (Akinori Fujimoto).

Coope, Boyes & Simpson: In Flanders Fields

The more we learn about war, the more important it becomes to sing about peace. 'In Flanders Fields' is the culmination of involvement in Peace Concerts Passchendaele in Flanders and work with Michael Morpurgo on Private Peaceful.
