Aaron Parks Trio

Seattle-born pianist Aaron Parks was hailed as 'the new Brad Mehldau' when his Blue Note debut, ‘Invisible Cinema’, appeared in 2008. By ‘Aborescence’, his 2013 solo set for ECM, he’d become the leading pianist of his generation, with an identity entirely his own. Aaron Parks appears tonight in his state-of-the-art New York trio with the legendary drummer Billy Hart and bassist Ben Street.

Paul Booth's Patchwork Project Album Launch feat. Jacqui Dankworth

Match&Fuse presents: Laura Jurd – DINOSAUR (UK) & LABtrio (BE)

As part of Match&Fuse's presence throughout the EFG London Jazz Festival, Kings Place welcome award-winning Laura Jurd with her quartet DINOSAUR and the Belgian LABtrio. Both bands will perform a set of their original music, followed by the 'fused' ensemble of all 7 musicians onstage.

Stéphane Kerecki – Nouvelle Vague

This much-admired French bassist/composer brings to the Festival the project that won him a prestigious ADAMI Award, Nouvelle Vague. Inspired by French New Wave cinema, and accompanied by stunning visual images, the music features the freewheeling piano solos of John Taylor, one of Europe's finest.

The Norwegian virtuoso is one of the most remarkable instrumentalists to emerge in recent years – and a talented composer too. Elina Duni

An exceptional musical storyteller returns to the Festival, with the haunting, intense music from her second ECM album. Once again exploring the traditional music of her native Albania, Duni probes themes of love and exile with her long-established band in an organic fusion of modal jazz and folk music. They're joined by her ECM label-mate, pianist Colin Vallon.
