This thrilling programme will take us on a journey to the world of the Bach family, with some of the most extraordinary masterpieces written by the great Johann Sebastian and his sons.

The uniqueness of this programme resides in the performance of the popular J.S. Bach Keyboard Concertos, but… these pieces will be played on a surprising instrument for which they were not composed originally by Bach - the mandolin!

The brilliant and virtuoso mandolin player Avi Avital will offer a breathtaking interpretation of these two beloved works, which he recently recorded for the Deutsche Gramophone label. In addition, David Greilsammer will conduct some colourful and poetic symphonies by Carl-Philipp Emmanuel and Johann-Christian Bach.
