The original version of Brahms’s Piano Quintet Op. 34 was a sonata for piano four hands, but it is a lesser known version of the work. Tonight it is coupled with the beautiful Neue Libeslieder and introduced by the unusual  and rarely performed Variations on a Hungarian theme op 21. nr. 2. The London based pianist Ivo Varbanov is joined by the renowned Russian pianist Konstantin Lifschitz
