Works of Beethoven’s first years in Vienna, the String Trios are ferociously challenging, requiring string players on the very highest level. The Berlin-based Jacques Thibaud Trio will mix two of Beethoven’s radical Op. 9 string trios with Schubert’s heavenly trio in B flat, and Jean Françaix’s witty String Trio.
