‘A reminder of what a fabulous variety of sound can be conjured from two pianos’ ★★★★★ Ivan Hewett, The Telegraph
London Piano Festival once again celebrates the joys, challenges and sheer brilliance of music written for two pianos. The programme sees this group of six internationally-acclaimed pianist friends team up in various pairings for an evening of enormous variety.
Listeners will be taken on an extended musical journey spanning three centuries from works by Grainger and Saint-Saëns through to an exciting premiere of a newly commissioned piece by Sally Beamish. At the heart of the evening stands Stravinsky’s seminal, thrilling masterpiece The Rite of Spring forming part of the Nature Unwrapped series.
An unmissable experience!
The concert ticket includes a pre-concert talk with Sally Beamish and Owen Mortimer at 6pm in St Pancras Room prior to the Two-Piano Gala.
