Following the release of their debut EP this spring, NYX returns to Kings Place for an intimate premiere of new embodied, ambient electro-choral music.
As a collective who believe firmly in the healing power of music through sonic immersion, NYX will perform a 3-part movement inspired by human connection and the relationship between the internal and external body.
Reuniting with London audiences for the first time since lockdown, the electronic drone choir will combine vocal harmony with ancient gongs, singing bowl reversed loops, classical instrumentation, pitch shifted bass and a crescendo of synthesised voice.
This concert will feature a special collaborative composition by NYX and composer and violinist Alicia Jane Turner with Dead Light (Anna Rose Carter and Ed Hamilton).
This concert replaces the Nature Unwrapped commission with Christina Vantzou which was to have taken place on this date, and had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 travel and quarantine restrictions.
