A special pre-publication event with a very special author. Michael Rosen joins us to discuss his life, career and latest book Please Write Soon: An Unforgettable Story of Two Cousins in World War II.

Inspired by a true family story and beautifully illustrated by two-time Greenaway Medal winner Michael Foreman, it follows the wartime experiences of Londoner Solly, evacuated to the English countryside, and his Polish cousin Bernie, who is sent to a forced labour camp in Russia before fighting alongside the British in Iraq and Italy. As the teenagers exchange sporadic letters, they try to keep their spirits up, trading jokes and observations about the world changing all around them.
