This workshop is designed to teach you how to conduct interviews for podcasts, whether you are interviewing a professional voice artist or a random person on the street, in a professional recording studio or literally on the street. You will get to practice writing and preparing for interviews, conducting and recording interviews, as well as basic editing skills.
The workshop is run by Cerys Bradley, the producer and presenter of the podcast the Coming Out Tapes (a series of intimate interviews with members of the LGBTQ community). They have over 5 years of interview experience for radio working with academics, artists, and people with no previous recording experience. They have also taught interview techniques for podcasts on academic courses at UCL.
No experience is necessary and all equipment is provided, though it is advisable to bring a USB stick to take away any material created in the workshop.
