London Piano Festival co-director Katya Apekisheva played the famous Danzas argentinas, Op. 2, in the 2018 edition of the festival. It’s one of Ginastera’s early gems, mixing folkloristic elements with complex harmonies over a virtuosic texture. In this year’s festival, Apekisheva will be presenting ‘The Young Ludwig’, focusing on Beethoven’s early works.
