Throughout the 2022-23 season IGF’s Guitar in London series presents young talent alongside more established guitarists from around the world, including many UK debuts as well as premieres of new commissioned work. IGF is committed to the creation of new music for guitar, we have commissioned over 110 new works so far from both young and established composers. Another key IGF objective is young artist development and our Young Artist Platform provides much needed opportunities for young guitarists starting out in their careers. La Leona: Women and the Guitar is another innovative IGF programme which aims to be a game-changer both in guitar repertoire and in performance by women musicians.
