Russian virtuoso Alina Ibragimova has enthralled audiences with her performance of the works of JS Bach, not least her solo marathon at the BBC Proms in 2015. Her recording of the complete partitas and sonatas was hailed as ‘a revelation’ and ‘a true enshrining of the violin’s soul’. In this recital for Master Series, curated in the wake of Covid-19 which has prevented her duo partner, the pianist Cedric Tiberghien, from being in London, she offers two of these much-loved solo works.
