City of London Sinfonia is renowned for performing classical music in non-traditional spaces and harnessing their acoustic possibilities. Curated in collaboration with London-born, internationally renowned singer-songwriter and sitarist Bishi Bhattacharya, this programme explores the glorious sonic architecture of Kings Place through pieces that span the centuries from Purcell to Edward Finnis, from Debussy to Max Richter, leading to a performance of Terry Riley’s classic work of togetherness, In C, which brings together the instruments of CLS with Bishi’s voice and instrumentals.
The event will last approximately 1 hour, without an interval.
