Throughout the 2022-23 season IGF’s Guitar in London series presents young talent alongside more established guitarists from around the world, including many UK debuts as well as premieres of new commissioned work.

Guitarist and composer Andrea Vettoretti’s music interacts with cosmic sounds in this very special programme. The Pulsars, the oldest stars in the universe and the cosmic background, interact with Vettoretti’s music to create unique sounds of great elegance and style. The music takes you on a dreamlike and emotionally intense musical journey which starts at the beginning of time, from the first light of the universe, and leads in the end to the great beauty of the Blue Planet, our home. A message of fraternity, of harmony, of beautiful dreams.

Andrea will play live accompanied by pre recorded special sound effects.

Zoe Barnett is a classical guitarist who is currently studying at the Royal College of Music for a Master of Performance where she is generously supported by the Derek Butler Trust. She is continuing her studies under the tutelage of Gary Ryan and Christopher Stell. Zoe has performed in numerous concert halls across Europe and China such as Wigmore Hall, Sala Maria Cristina Malaga, and Shanghai Grand Theatre. She made her concerto debut in 2018 and is looking forward to playing with the Orpington Symphony Orchestra in 2023. Zoe performed the new IGF commission The Mist by Zhenyan Li at IGF’s London Guitar Festival in October 2022.

The performance will last approximately 90 minutes.
