‘This is positive pianism’ ★★★★★ Classical Source
‘A boldly assertive celebration’ ★★★★ The Guardian
Rising young talent Isata Kanneh-Mason makes her solo debut at Kings Place in this Sunday morning concert focusing on Brahms and Clara Schumann.
Clara was the first to receive Brahms’ poignant late piano pieces. They range from darkly mysterious lullabies (Op. 117 No. 2) to ballades of galloping energy (Op. 118 No. 3). She also includes rarely-heard piano works of Clara Schumann, and is joined by young violinist Ellinor D’Melon for her tender Romances for violin and piano.
Please note, due to unforeseen circumstances, Elena Urioste can no longer take part in this performance. She is replaced by Ellinor D’Melon.
