Filmed in HD from the intimate setting of the VOCES8 Centre and Kings Place, this new online festival includes some of the world’s finest vocal ensembles. The line-up includes VOCES8, I Fagiolini, Stile Antico, The Swingles, The Sixteen, The Gesualdo Six, Apollo5, Chanticleer, and a special guest appearance by The Academy of Ancient Music.
These award-winning ensembles bring you their favourite works and pieces for which they’ve become renowned, singing repertoire from the Renaissance to contemporary A Cappella – a veritable ‘transport of delight’ from the superb acoustic of Wren’s St Anne’s, St Agnes Church and Kings Place (The Sixteen, 19 Sept).
The festival will be broadcast online every Saturday for ten weeks from the 1st of August, offering a chance for a worldwide audience to reconnect with live choral music.
In the spirit of collaboration and unity with which this festival was formed, ticket prices have been structured to enable artists and promoters to raise much needed funds to help cover losses suffered as a result of Covid19. A portion of all tickets sold will be put towards funding for grassroots music education and to addressing topics of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in choral music.
