Joanna MacGregor and Adrian Brendel are joined by violinist Thomas Gould, accordionist Martynas Levickisand percussionist Adriano Adewale for a programme of classic tango and its myriad musical tributaries. Astor Piazzolla revolutionised the tango in the 20th century and is placed here beside The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires and Alberto Ginastera’s Pampeana. The programme is broken up by solo performances of the band members.
