In this invigorating concert, the Bath Festival Orchestra contrasts the gentle, reflective beauty of Two Hymn Preludes with three lively works: Ethel Smyth’s effervescent Serenade in D, Grimes’ brilliant Clarinet Concerto and Haydn’s stately Symphony No.104 ‘London’.
The performance features clarinettist Julian Bliss, conductor Peter Manning and the energetic, ambitious young musicians of the Bath Festival Orchestra.
