We regret to inform you that due to unforeseen changes in COVID-19 regulations by the airline, Ana Vidovic has not been able to fly to London in time for this concert. We are most grateful to the wonderful Cristina Galietto for agreeing to take over the concert. Ana Vidovic was the winner of IGF’s first guitar competition back in 1995, her first international guitar competition, which launched her international career. It is fitting that she should be replaced by another brilliant young woman in Cristina Galietto who is no doubt destined for a similar brilliant career.

Main Concert, 7.30pm: Cristina Galietto

Cristina Galietto is a 20-year-old multiple prize-winning guitarist from Naples, most recently winning premier international competitions in Stuttgart, Uppsala, and the ‘Andres Segovia’ Monheim-am-Rhein in Germany. Last August she won First Prize in one of the most prestigious guitar competitions in the world: the EuroStrings Guitar Competition held in Petrer, Spain. This ‘super’ competition is exclusively contested by the winners of the international competitions of the 20 participating EuroStrings Festivals. She is the first female winner of this Prize which will catapult her into a major international career with tours in Europe, China and the Americas planned for 2022.

5pm – 6.15pm: Final of the London International Guitar Competition

LIGC one of the most prestigious competitions worldwide which has attracted the best guitarists under 30 years of age who have come from 33 different countries. Tonight, three finalists will play 20 each to win the coveted First Prize.

6.30pm: Kevin Loh – 2020 winner

A 30 minutes performance by guitarist Kevin Loh, the outstanding winner of London International Guitar Competition 2020.
