The Monday Platform offers young professional musicians the opportunity to perform in some of London’s most prestigious concert halls. The artists appearing in this concert were selected by audition in 2018.
Award winning Spanish saxophonist Manu Brazo, a graduate of the RCM, has appeared on BBC Radio 3 In Tune and on Classic FM, when his performance was described as ‘100% Colossal and amazing’. Other performances including appearing with the London Sinfonietta and playing at the Snape Proms in Aldeburgh under Marin Alsop in 2018.
Romanian violinist Maria Gîlicel studied in Madrid before coming to the RCM in London where she is currently studying for her Masters in Performance. She made her orchestral debut at the National Auditorium in Madrid and has since performed at many prestigious venues, including Wigmore Hall and St. John’s Smith Square.
