Sam is curating a fictional film festival. He’ll accept almost anything, but the movie must not be longer than 90 minutes. This is the 90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest podcast.
Each episode a special guest selects a length appropriate movie and discuss why it should be included in the festival’s line up.
For our first live edition of the show, we will be joined by director Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World), and seasoned podcasters Helen Zaltzman (The Allusionist) and Martin Austwick (Song By Song). We will watch Helen and Martin’s chosen film, Safety Not Guaranteed, together on the big screen and talk about why they’ve selected it during the podcast recording at the end of the movie.
Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) Cert. 15. 86 minutes. Award-winning debut feature from director Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) and screenwriter Derek Connolly (Detective Pikachu). Starring Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass, Jake Johnson, Karan Soni, Kristen Bell and Jeff Garlin.
When an unusual classified ad inspires three cynical Seattle magazine employees to look for the story behind it, they discover a mysterious eccentric named Kenneth, a likable but paranoid supermarket clerk, who believes he’s solved the riddle of time travel and intends to depart again soon.
Producer Louise Owen and host Sam Clements are a wife and husband team who love movies. The show launched in 2018 and was included as ‘one to listen to’ in Film Stories Magazine.
