Griefcast

London Podcast Festival 2019

British Podcast Awards 2018 – Best Entertainment, Best Interview + Podcast of the Year 2018.

Podcast of the Year ARIA’s 2018.

A podcast about death… with comedians.

How do we grieve for someone? How does it change and evolve as we get older? For this special live edition of Cariad Lloyd’s award-winning podcast, Cariad will be joined by three guests to discuss all things death and dying. From awkward funeral songs to whether there is an afterlife, to what canapés you want at the funeral after party. Cariad will be guiding her guests through the weirdness, humour and pain of grief and death.

Cariad’s own father died when she was 15, it took her years to be able to express what had happened to her, so she created Griefcast – a safe space for her guests to talk honestly about death and grieving. Guests for this show are Tom Parry, Jenny Bede and Kemah Bob.

Past guests have included Robert Webb, Sara Pascoe, Aisling Bea and David Baddiel. Griefcast is available to download on Acast or wherever you get your podcasts from.

Cariad Lloyd is a comedian, actor, improviser and writer. She has appeared in Alan Partridge, Peep Show, Have I Got News For You, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Would I Lie To You, Toast of London, Murder in Successville and Inside No. 9. For BBC Radio 4, she has featured in The Now Show, The News Quiz and the Museum of Curiosity.
