Due to unforeseen circumstances the Halfies show has been cancelled.

Hajar J. Woodland returns to the London Podcast Festival with her brand-new podcast, Noisy Hajar. In this special live episode, ‘Halfies’, Hajar invites friends from the comedy world to explore the funny side of being half-British, half-something-else.

She’s joined by fellow Anglo-Iranian standup, professional ranter and 3 Speech Podcast host, Darius Davies, along with ‘the best British-Surinamese, Irish-Palestinian duo on the circuit’ and Motherfunk podcast hosts, Shirley & Shirley, aka Joanna Carolan and Pascale Wilson.
Expect a thoroughly entertaining and maybe at times even mildly uncomfortable night of stories, rants and reflections on growing up mixed race in a mixed-up world.

Standup and podcaster Hajar J. Woodland set up her content company Noisy Badger to amplify working-class voices and unconventional stories. After producing and presenting The Dabblers’ Book Club, which included interviews with authors such as Hashi Mohamed and Booker winner Douglas Stuart, she’s now launched ‘Noisy Hajar’, a place for refreshing conversations and reflections on the world. A Funny Women semi-finalist, Hajar’s just finished Soho Theatre’s Comedy Plus Lab and is working on her debut solo show.
