Rule of Three is a warm, celebratory, informative podcast about comedy. Each episode, someone who makes comedy is invited to come on and talk about something funny that they love. By taking it apart, maybe something can be learned about how comedy works, or maybe everyone just quotes bits and giggles until they’re finished. Both approaches are valid.
Hosted by two of the country’s busiest comedy writers, Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris (the BAFTA-winning joke engineers behind Philomena Cunk, Charlie Brooker’s Wipe shows, Mitchell & Webb, the Paddington films and the best-selling Ladybird Books for Grown-Ups series), past guests have included John Finnemore, Danielle Ward, Isy Suttie, Matt Holness and Cariad Lloyd, and subjects up for comic dissection have included everything from the Monty Python LPs to Whose Line Is It Anyway, Bottom and the Bash Street Kids. Comedian, broadcaster and writer, Sue Perkins, joins this live episode.
