The Simple Politics Podcast looks at the week’s events in politics through the prism of their social media. What stories have people actually been interested in? What were they saying about those stories? What questions do they have for the team? What do the team predict they’ll be posting on next?

If you’re on Instagram, Facebook or twitter, you will have seen Simple Politics posts on your phone. The team have been knocking about bringing clarity (as well as a sense of humour) to politics on social media for eight years.

They’ve been through it all with you, in your feed. The highs, the lows, the really really lows, the worse than thats. A referendum, a couple of General Elections, a global pandemic, five Prime Ministers, the rocketing cost of Lurpak. All of it.

This isn’t an insider’s podcast. No interviews. Nobody who used to be important once. There are plenty of places to go for all that.

This is about the way we engage with politics. It’s about all of us and news and social media and being a community.

It’s informal, it’s informative and, very occasionally, quite funny.

The podcast will last up to 90 minutes, without an interval.
