Top Flight Time Machine is the podcast that revels in football’s glorious and inglorious past, with hosts Andy Dawson and Sam Delaney covering the early years of the Premier League and over three decades of World Cup tournaments since it launched earlier in the year.

From August, the Time Machine will be venturing a little closer to the present day, with weekly episodes looking back at the previous weekend’s football action

One keen-eared fan described the podcast as being ‘like listening to Derek and Clive watching Match of the Day’.

For this, their first live show, Andy and Sam will be doing something different and forensically examining one of football’s greatest works of literature – the 1987 Shoot! annual.
