Desmonda Cathabel & Dylan Wood: Doomed Lovers Duets
Reunited after their run as Eurydice and Orpheus in the West End’s Hadestown, Desmonda Cathabel and Dylan Wood are no strangers to playing doomed lovers together. Expect a rich selection of songs and duets spanning musical theatre, folk, country and beyond: the perfect evening for proud members of the heartbreak club.
Desmonda Cathabel (Jesus Christ Superstar, Mamma Mia: I Have a Dream, Disney’s Aladdin) and Dylan Wood (Once, Orphans, Moorcroft) come to Kings Place for one night only to recreate their electric chemistry in Desmonda & Dylan: Doomed Lovers Duets, following their sell-out run at The Crazy Coqs.
Also joined by their Hadestown co-musical supervisor George Francis on keys and lead guitarist David Delarre on guitar.
This event will last approximately 90 minutes, without an interval.

£10 ‘Under 30s’ tickets
A limited number of £10 tickets are available for certain shows to attendees aged under 30. To access Under 30s tickets, update your account with your Date of Birth. Please visit the account centre to add your Date of Birth.
If £10 tickets are available, the ticket discount will apply automatically at checkout. If the discount does not apply, this means all ‘Under 30s’ tickets have sold out for the performance.

Kings Place is situated just a few minutes’ walk from King’s Cross and St Pancras stations, one of the most connected locations in London and now the biggest transport hub in Europe.

The Venue
Our performance spaces are situated on the lower ground floor. Hall One, Hall Two and St Pancras are located in level -2, reached by stairs, escalator and lift from the ground floor entrance level.
Event Times
Door times indicate auditorium entrance times only. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the Kings Place seating areas, gallery-level art, canal-side terrace, café, restaurant and bar throughout the day and evening.
- Our events begin promptly at the advertised start time. Typically, there is no support unless otherwise stated.
- We recommend arriving in good time before the performance. The Hall doors will open 30 minutes before the performance to allow time to take your seats, or to choose a space for standing shows.
- Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance where possible

Rotunda Bar & Restaurant
Rotunda, situated on the ground floor of Kings Place, offers a unique dining and drinking experience alongside Regent’s Canal. The concert bar in the venue foyer will also be open for select events.
Green & Fortune Café
Recently re-furbished and now open with a new look, the Green & Fortune Café is open for selected concerts. Serving hot and cold food and drinks, including sandwiches, salads, soup, stew and a pie of the day, alongside a choice of cakes made by the on-site bakery team. About David Delarre
David Delarre is a musician, composer and music educator whose work spans theatre, folk, blues and contemporary music. He has performed extensively throughout the UK and Europe with award-winning singer Eliza Carthy MBE, platinum-selling artist Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, and most recently BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Steve Knightley. Broadcast credits include live sessions for BBC Radio and television appearances with Jools Holland.
Theatre credits include Love’s Labour’s Lost and The Two Noble Kinsman (Shakespeare’s Globe), Hex (National Theatre), and Hadestown (National Theatre and West End).
About Dylan Wood
Dylan Wood trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His theatre credits include Once (Pitlochry Festival Theatre); Hadestown (West End); No Love Songs and The Singer (Dundee Rep); The Bunker and 549: Scots of the Spanish Civil War (Wonder Fools); Sherlock Holmes and the Poison Wood and Teddy (UK tour and Watermill); Orphans (National Theatre Scotland); and Close Quarters (Sheffield Theatres).
Television credits include Dog Days, Unfair, Midsomer Murders, Sister Boniface and Casualty.
About George Francis
George Francis is from Liverpool, UK, and is Co-Musical Director of Hadestown in the West End, and Music Supervisor of Fame (Theatre Royal Plymouth) and The Little Big Things (Amsterdam).
His work as Musical Director (MD) includes Hadestown (Amsterdam); Amélie (West End); and Whistle Down the Wind (WhatsOnStage Award nomination) at the Watermill; Now Is Good and The Wizard of Oz at Chester Storyhouse; A Thong for Europe at Liverpool’s Royal Court; The Commitments (UK tour); and Fiddler on the Roof at Liverpool Everyman.
Pop credits include Glastonbury Festival, London Fashion Week and BBC Radio 1Xtra, among others.
About Desmonda Cathabel
Desmonda is from Indonesia and trained at the Royal Academy of Music. Her theatre credits include Jesus Christ Superstar at the London Palladium as Mary Magdalene, Eurydice in Hadestown (West End), and Princess Jasmine in Aladdin (UK and Ireland tour). She also starred in ITV’s Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream.
