Under the name Kuedo, British artist Jamie Teasdale creates widescreen electronic music, synergising Vangelis-esque melodies with thunderous drum programming. For Sound Unwrapped Kuedo premieres a new AV show in collaboration with acclaimed visual artist, Emmanuel Biard. He will also be utilising d&b audiotechnik’s 360 soundscape system. An unmissable event in our spring programme.

Otherworldly in palette but often explosive in dynamics, Kuedo’s signature is to fuse Vangelis-like futuristic melodies with contemporary hip-hop & club influences, synergizing these into a sound all of his own.

Also known for his composition and sound design work for the likes of Fendi, Bvlgari, Iris Van Herpen and Nike, Kuedo collaborated with Flying Lotus on the Blade Runner: Black Out 2022 OST (directed by Cowboy Bebop director Shinichirō Watanabe), and scored Metahaven’s Eurasia and The Sprawl films.

Signing to FlyLo’s Brainfeeder label, his 2022 album Infinite Window blends synth-driven avant-garde compositions and thunderous drum programming. The album’s sonics owe as much to modern R&B icons like Frank Ocean and The Weeknd as they do to legendary composers such as David Axelrod, Tangerine Dream, as well as contemporary breakbeat aficionados such as Sully and Jlin.
