Night Creatures with HOWL & Robert Macfarlane

Kings Place is excited to welcome vocal ensemble HOWL, together with writer-lyricist Robert Macfarlane, in a very special premiere performance.

HOWL will premiere songs from their new EP, Night Creatures; a collaboration with writers Robert Macfarlane and Yuvan Aves, which celebrates in song the mysterious lives of owls, moths, glow-worms, sea turtles and other night-creatures. The evening will begin with an in-conversation event with Robert Macfarlane, followed by HOWL’s songs of swooping, soaring vocal complexity –– by turns moving, haunting and joyful, drawing the listener deeper into the more-than-human world.

Night Creatures is HOWL’s second EP; it will be released on Cosmo Sheldrake’s Tardigrade Records. HOWL have sung with artists including Jessie Buckley, Bernard Butler, Johnny Flynn, Mr Jukes and Josephine Foster. HOWL are: Kate Huggett, Elly Condron, Natty Pela, Rose Stachniewska, Lydia Samuels, Rosalie Warner, Clay Slade, Helen Potter and Heloise Tunstall-Behrens.

This event will last approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, without an interval.
