Raghu Dixit returns to the UK with a special trio performance that brings the heart, humour and infectious energy of his music into a more intimate setting.
One of India’s most celebrated independent musicians, Raghu Dixit has taken his unique sound from Mysore to stages across the world, from Glastonbury and WOMAD to Later… with Jools Holland and the Paris Olympics. His music draws freely from Indian folk traditions, contemporary sounds and the universal language of a great song.
For this special UK tour, Raghu strips things back to create a more intimate musical experience, one that leaves room for stories, spontaneity, audience singalongs and the unmistakable joy of a Raghu Dixit performance.
Expect songs in multiple Indian languages and a show that makes the distance between the stage and the audience feel wonderfully small.
Whether you’ve followed Raghu for years or are discovering his music for the first time, this is an invitation to come sing, dance and experience one of India’s most distinctive musical voices up close.
This event will last for approximately 90 minutes.
Arrive early to hear Indian classical vocalist and composer Shivani Sen perform live in the Foyer with her duo partner, Theo Archer, from 7:05–7:50pm as part of our Young Artist Platform. Find out more about Shivani here. If you’d like a taster of what to expect, listen here.
