A captivating night from Riot Ensemble, who begin with voices in the gallery and descend to the stage for David del Tredici’s ground-breaking Szygy and a world premiere from Naomi Pinnock.

This concert opens at twilight: Riot Ensemble has split apart and reformed above the audience. From the balcony come the birdcalls, noisemakers and singing voices of Anna Korsun’s Ulenflucht.  As night descends, Riot divides in two, and returning to the stage for a rare performance of David del Tredici’s  Syzygy. The concert closes with a look to the the future – and a new day – in the UK Premiere of a new work from Naomi Pinnock, and a world premiere from Andres Nuño de Buen who was chosen from more than 776 applications from across the world to compose a new piece for this concert.
