Bespoke one-to-one performances by leading musicians and poets
Have you missed the tingle of a live performance? Experience bespoke one-to-one performances by leading musicians in a safe environment. Individuals or groups of up to six people can share their personal lockdown story or mood with one of the guest artists who will prescribe a piece of music or a literary response.
On Sat 22 August we’ll have performances from cellist and vocalist Ayanna Witter-Johnson and pianist and well-being specialist Christina McMaster. On Sat 29 August we’ll have performances from jazz singer Cherise Adams-Burnett, violinists Thomas Gould, and Rakhi Singh with her sister Simmy Singh and performance poets from Poet in the City. These unique 15 minute consultations will bring the audience into the same space, safely distanced, with an artist who has been unable to play to a live crowd for many months, bridging that gap between Kings Place’s community of audiences and artists again.
