Look in the mirror, what do you see? This fun, creative self-portrait workshop is open to all 7+ year-olds. Taking inspiration from Piano Nobile’s exhibition Out of Time from the Ruth Borchard Self-portrait Collection on the mezzanine level, you’ll experiment with different scales and materials, make 2D and 3D self-portraits. Dive in and create your own colourful response to your own image with gifted artist and educator, Jo Lewis. Just don’t wear your best clothes!
Jo Lewis is an artist who also works as a gallery educator and artist teacher, mainly at the National Gallery and Dulwich Picture Gallery, running adult and children workshops and events. Jo’s recent projects include a large-scale commission for Paris Baguette’s flagship store in Beijing, and in London, for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. In 2017 Jo was invited to Guangxi University in south-west China to teach and create new work, a project supported by the Arts Council. Jo will have a solo show in Paris in May 2018.
Places limited to 20 for each workshop, allocated on a first come, first served basis.
