Acclaimed Scottish musician Alasdair Roberts returns to Kings Place as part of Scotland Unwrapped marking the publication of his book Library of Aethers: Selected Lyrics 1994-2023. The event will feature a short Q&A with the poet Robin Robertson followed by live performance from Alasdair Roberts of some of the songs featured in the book.

Familiar as an interpreter of traditional songs and ballads, Alasdair Roberts is also highly regarded as a songwriter. Weaving diverse influences, his lyrics represent an addition to – as well as, at times, a radical extension of – the folk song canon which has nourished him creatively throughout his musical career.

For this event, Alasdair will be in conversation with poet Robin Robertson as well as giving a musical performance of some of the songs featured in Library of Aethers.
