Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne

Folk Weekend: State of the Nations

Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne is at the forefront of his generation of English folk musicians as both a powerful and commanding singer and a masterful player of the Anglo concertina and melodeon.

Since bursting onto the scene in his teens, Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne has amassed a string of awards and nominations, and has toured extensively across the UK and abroad, both as a soloist and with the much-loved energetic trio Granny’s Attic. His solo shows shine a light on this spine-tingling traditional folk performer. His rich voice soars through a range of historical ballads, industrial songs and shanties, with a particular penchant for material from the West Midlands, where he’s lived for much of his life.

This event will last approximately 70 minutes, without an interval.
