Join us for a unique, safe and socially-distanced viewing party to watch Folk on Foot’s third virtual festival on the big screen in Hall One, and enjoy a live on-stage conversation between Sam Lee and Folk on Foot podcast host Matthew Bannister. Sam will talk about his passion for the natural world and in particular the nightingale, and we will hear live song from Sam as well as extracts from a recording of his Singing With Nightingales event. Then settle back for three and half hours of great music on our big screen, surrounded by fellow Folk on Foot fans.
The online Festival will be reuniting some of the UK’s top folk performers who haven’t been able to play together during the lockdown, including Karine Polwart with Steven Polwart and Inge Thomson; Martin Simpson, Andy Cutting and Nancy Kerr; Show of Hands (Steve Knightley and Phil Beer); Sam Lee and his band; Kris Drever, John McCusker and Phil Cunningham; The Breath (2019 Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year Rioghnach Connolly and Stuart McCallum); the harpist and singer Rachel Newton and the fiddle player Lauren MacColl; and Lady Nade with Kit Hawes and Aaron Catlow. They’re coming Together Again to film 30 minute sets in striking locations, so why don’t you too come Together Again to watch safely in Hall One?
Your ticket price covers the costs of opening the venue and running this special event, and our friends at Folk on Foot have launched a crowdfunding campaign with half the money raised going to the charity Help Musicians, the other half being divided between the 40 or so artists in the Festival.
This is a special version of the virtual Festival, specially put together for the Kings Place audience. You will be able to view the full-length version via Folk on Foot’s YouTube page at your leisure! If you’d like to donate, please visit folkonfoot.com/festival.
This is a socially-distanced event for 100 audience members and will include 3 short intervals for comfort breaks and cleaning.
To ensure the safety of audience members, performers and staff, face coverings must be worn inside the auditorium and hand sanitiser will be available at all entry and exit points.

Running time: approx 5.5hrs including intervals.
