Leveret celebrate 10 years of playing truly spontaneous, yet deeply timeless music together in 2023, with Forms, a new album featuring new and traditional tunes played with the band’s trademark interaction and inventiveness. Leveret’s music is firmly rooted in the English tradition but sounds fresh and new. Over the years their intimate presentation style has charmed countless audiences, helping the trio build a loyal following and demonstrating the enduring appeal and endless potential of the folk tune. Listeners new and old can expect incredible musicianship and compelling presentation from a band at the top of their game.

Eleven Magpies is a quartet of musicians and theatre folk, led by Bristol-based composer, multi-instrumentalist and Music Director, Ian Ross (Wise Children, Kneehigh), and featuring Alex Vann (Spiro, Three Cane Wale), Elizabeth Westcott (Yesterdays Camel) and James Gow (Jow). They will be sharing driving, visceral and murmurating tune sets from their first album, inspired by touring in the States, along with material from Two for Joy released in Spring 2023.

All-female Morris Dancing group Boss Morris will bring their unique take on the traditional English folk dance to the public spaces of Kings Place as part of this year’s Folk Weekend. At 3.05pm and 6.50pm, witness this eclectic group of professional performers take inspiration from many types of traditional dances and ancient customs, but give them a modern twist with their interpretations and striking attire. Prepared to be dazzled!
