Come and learn to perform jazz with Apollo5! Apollo5 is passionate about encouraging young people to sing and delivers a wide-reaching education programme with VOCES8, as part of the VCM Foundation. This is the perfect introduction to jazz for young singers. You will hear Apollo5 perform, work with the singers learning some fun jazz arrangements and then perform these yourself at the end of the workshop. It’s a great opportunity for all the family to get involved!

The next generation of a cappella singers is here – and it includes you! Come join us at London A Cappella Festival Kids day on Saturday 27 January to learn what it takes to get ahead in the a cappella world!

Kicking the day off we have UK Looping Beatbox Champion, acclaimed vocalist and human beatbox OxBox showing us what gnarly sounds you can make just with your voice. British a cappella ensemble Apollo5 take the kids through some fun jazz arrangements – culminating in a performance for the LACF audience in the foyer. Hot off this year’s BBC’s Pitch Battle singing show, a cappella geniuses Bristol Suspensions give an exclusive Kids matinee performance. They were the 2016 UK Voice Festival Champions too, so don’t miss this! And our official Festival Partner NYCGB’s Deputy MD Esther Jones will lead a very special ‘Ready Steady Sing!’ masterclass (ages 8-11) for kids wanting to get the best out of their voice.

All this and FREE foyer performances throughout the day from children’s choirs and family-friendly groups, plus opportunities to meet your favourite a cappella heroes!
