Olivia Murphy and her Orchestra celebrate the release of their sophomore album, performing major recent works by the award-winning composer. The concert will feature selections from Murphy’s critically acclaimed debut album “Fateful Birds & Fledgling Stories”, followed by the Orchestra’s first-ever London performance of “Siren Cycle”, adding strings and four vocalists alongside the Big Band.
Originally commissioned for Cheltenham Jazz Festival in May 2025 and described as ‘an undoubted triumph’, Siren Cycle is a long-form epic saga. Featuring an eighteen-piece improvising orchestra, the work depicts four sisters lost at sea, going through transformations and troubles in their search to be reunited.
Influenced by myth and folklore, Siren Cycle creates composer Olivia Murphy’s most detailed world-building to date, spread across eight movements, a prologue and an interlude. At the heart of the composition are the spell-binding vocals of Becca Wilkins, Rebecka Edlund, Lucy-Anne Daniels and Maddie Ashman, alongside fourteen brilliant improvising instrumentalists, conducted by Murphy.
Siren Cycle is unbounded by genre, moving through jazz, folk, free improvisation, opera and spoken word, always in metamorphosis. This one-off performance will also celebrate the release of Siren Cycle, Murphy’s sophomore studio album.
The programme will also include works from Murphy’s critically acclaimed debut orchestral album, Fateful Birds & Fledgling Stories, released in May 2026. Featuring a big band of some of the most exciting improvisers from across the UK, the album was awarded 4.5 stars in DownBeat Magazine, an Editor’s Choice accolade in Jazzwise Magazine and featured on BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 3.
This event will last approximately 110 minutes, including an interval.

£10 ‘Under 30s’ tickets
A limited number of £10 tickets are available for certain shows to attendees aged under 30. To access Under 30s tickets, update your account with your Date of Birth. Please visit the account centre to add your Date of Birth.
If £10 tickets are available, the ticket discount will apply automatically at checkout. If the discount does not apply, this means all ‘Under 30s’ tickets have sold out for the performance.

The Venue
Our performance spaces are situated on the lower ground floor. Hall One, Hall Two and St Pancras are located in level -2, reached by stairs, escalator and lift from the ground floor entrance level.
Event Times
Door times indicate auditorium entrance times only. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the Kings Place seating areas, gallery-level art, canal-side terrace, café, restaurant and bar throughout the day and evening.
- Our events begin promptly at the advertised start time. Typically, there is no support unless otherwise stated.
- We recommend arriving in good time before the performance. The Hall doors will open 30 minutes before the performance to allow time to take your seats, or to choose a space for standing shows.
- Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance where possible

Rotunda Bar & Restaurant
Rotunda, situated on the ground floor of Kings Place, offers a unique dining and drinking experience alongside Regent’s Canal. The concert bar in the venue foyer will also be open for select events.
Green & Fortune Café
Recently re-furbished and now open with a new look, the Green & Fortune Café is open for selected concerts. Serving hot and cold food and drinks, including sandwiches, salads, soup, stew and a pie of the day, alongside a choice of cakes made by the on-site bakery team.
